ravena_kadeWork is freaking out.
It feels like 9/11...but with germs.
They sent out a survey text asking people in Operations who they travelled to work.
I am a pariah because I take the train in. We have a parking lot so most people drive in.
They are freaking out so much because they want us to work from at home but the VPNs (the secure way to sign on at home without someone people able hack the info) would be overloaded.
My area was asked to work from at home and everything was wicked slow.
I think they may ask us train riders to work from at home. More than 50% of the folks drive in. That won't work with all the things I will be assigned when dinosaur leaves...but if it is now she can still do her work. If its next month when we are remote then things won't work for me. If we use social distancing I have offered to come in after 6 PM and be pretty much alone in a 200 foot area.
If I have to self quarantine, or I use can't do the work remote then I can will take 2 weeks PTO. It would not bother me as I have a house of projects that I would love to do so I don't care ...
We shall see what happen.
I just need to set up a week long office space. I need a few BRIGHT lights at the work desk.
