ravena_kadewhile my boss told me she had no idea of what I would be doing when Dinosaur leaves I did overhear a phone meeting she had where instead of the dinosaurs work going to Pennsylvania it would be coming to me... and she then went on to tell the person on the phone that I would never need help unless I was out and that when I was out I would have to contact someone in Pennsylvania to do the work and I would have to get permission from her as well as Pennsylvania before I could take any PTO days. My coworkers all heath me say "WTF just how deaf does she think I am?" And then walk away. The boss didn't hear me...or didn't acknowledge that she heard me.
So we have lost positions and the only one who is taking on the brunt of it is me...
The boss did not reconcile my generally ledger account correctly and when went to show her she was belligerent. Sigh. She said that the workflow was stupid. I said that we put the workflow in effect 2 years ago after a large fraud case and that she approved the workflow. She said that she didn't actually pay attention to my work. I said that we can change to if she wanted... she said don't bother. I am done showing her anything.
The coworker who I showed another part of what I do has been telling people that she doesn't want to do it. She told me today. I suggested that she talk to the boss about it or just go get another job.
Then she tells me that because of the Corona Virus that dinosaur will be working from at home until her last day and that I would have to do anything that she could not do from at home. T
The good news is that I guess I am not in line to be laid off...
The bad news is that I can't stab anyone.
Right now I start an hour early and work through lunch to complete my job...and now I am getting 3 more hours of work added... but that does not bother me. The fact that I won't have a back up in this state bothers me. The fact that this type of work is not easily done remotely due to the size of the files means I will be going into the job blizzard or not. Corona Virus or not. The fact that while this stuff is time consuming it is a low grade job so talking it on will not get me any pay increases and it will prohibit me from learning anything new so I can get a pay increase.
