I went to DQ's apartment tonight to clean her floors for her. She was out at the market across the street from where she lives. She is still not driving, but has not had a heart incident in 2 weeks. That is good. It's easier to do tehfloor when she is not home as I can move the furniture out of the way.

When she came back she had a cart full of things, especially lots of meat to freeze. I thought she was getting ready for a snow storm and said that the snow is going to miss us. She wasn't shopping for snow. She was shopping because she is afraid of the Corona Virus and her building being quarantined. Oi Vey. She is afraid they won't be able to get food. I told her I would come and bring food if they needed it. She has no family close by. She was really stuck on the quarantine thing. I said I would leave food in a basket at the front door and call her and she could come down and get it... or she could drop a 100 ft rope off the balcony and I would tie a basket to it and she could hoist it up. Oi.

Remember, people her age used to get quarantined all the time during measles/polio outbreaks. It's a mentality that's hard to shake, like for those who grew up during the Great Depression, and decades later couldn't throw away even scraps of tinfoil...:\

Even *I* remember kid's apartments being quarantined for measles, back in the early 60's. :\

Heh, I probably don't remember that because *I* was the kid stuck at home with the measles. =P
