This morning I started off sluggish. I didn't want to work.

Had to spend 2 hours with the dinosaur. She messed up again. She has forgotten who to cut and paste in a spread sheet and has corrupted the spreadsheet template. I can't figure out what she has done. The boss works from at home on Fridays. The other coworkers refuse to help her anymore The work has to get out so I am stuck with her. At one point I to her to delete a line at least 17 times... I finally said...do you understand delete?

I finally just did the procedure myself and sent her my spread sheet and said that she should open up her and mine together and review them line by line to find the difference. She said that she didn't want to...I wanted to strangle her. Just then we got an email from the boss saying we could leave 1.5 hours early today. I left then. I was so annoyed.

This weekend I was supposed to go to a party. It was cancelled as we may get snow. That's okay...I just want to stay in anyway.

You've been told you don't have to train her so walk away and let her stew!

The boss said since I knew the most about the process I was stuck with it. The payments have to be made.

She the boss comes in Monday I am going to suggest that the dinosaur go back to doing it the old way since she doesn't have to perform.

Yeah- she's on the way out anyway so what the hell! You at least know what you are doing!

The other coworkers refuse to help her anymore
So why should you? It's not your sole responsibility to make sure the work goes out, it's the responsibility of those on a higher pay grade. Are you scared they'll fire you if you refuse to be used in this appalling way? I could understand if you were but they must know you are worth more than they pay you.

It would make things worse for me as this is a function I back up and is not anything the others do. She count fire me as no one knows my other function, but she could deny all my vacation time and I could loose whatever bonus they may be giving me in February. I fear that. The boss herself is not allowed to do the function herself because of audit issues. I am the only one. The other person who did it left in September.

That and it is not in the culture of my other coworkers to complain directly to a superior. I know they are frustrated but wont say anything to the boss.
