The Dinosaur was at it again. The second tried to help her... and finally the second said that she had no more time so why don't you just do it using jennifer's way...and then the second left. The boss was busy and needed the second to help her. I told the dinosaur that I just needed to pee and I would look at it. Be back in a minute...went to the ladies room and come back to see that she corralled Devin and Linh to work on the problem. I said "Ummmm...whats up?" Well since you walked away from me I needed to get help. "Ummmmm... I went pee...I said I was going to the rest room and would be back in a minute" While Devin and Linh are very nice and very helpful they do not know the function. This woman is disrupting the whole department... just because she can't cut and paste. Oi.
I went out at night to help an elder friend and I was telling her about my day. She said that she was from the school that did what your boss told you to do no matter what. Ummm… yeah. Back in 1965 she was fired from a candy factory for screwing up the assembly line (Like on the I Love Lucy Show) , fired as a back teller for screwing up, left an insurance company because they reprimanded her for taking 2 hour lunches, and then worked at a ceramic shop in her Mom’s cellar.. I love her, but it is a shame she turned into a blow heart 8 years ago. Needless to say I excused myself and left… angry.
Friday the boss was out. The dinosaur started again. I said I would check her work when she was done. She wanted me to watch her do every transaction. I said I could not as I was leaving at 10 for a volunteer opportunity. She started ranting that no one would help her..blah blah blah and that she would never finish by 10. Umm… it’s 6 bloody AM. You can cut and paste 6 columns with 200 lines in less than 4 hours.
The volunteer opportunity was helping young adults taking a tech certification program by pretending to be customers calling in to a help line. We were to be awful people on the phone and observe their soft skills. It was very fast, but interesting…and then you give them any advice. I have done customer service via phone… so I had practical advice. One student was impressed enough to reach out to me on link’d in. I am flattered.
Today is a house keeping and veg day. Arguing 4 days a week at work is draining.
