ravena_kadeThe shovel thing from Sunday put me n funk...It shouldn't. They are weird...not that I think that they don't do it on purpose..they do...but I should fall for it.
Monday at work we get an email from the boss saying that she had to work from at home as they had a family emergency and that we should pray for her family. Tuesday morning we find out cryptically that her sister died. While other people in the bank knew what was going on the boss wanted it kept private from us. Umm...okay. They we get a more that services will be 12/30 and 12/31. Trouble is that no one knows the sister's name to find out where the services are.
Christmas was quiet at the relatives. They asked me to make a pork roast... I did. It tasted good. The watched a fake burning fireplace with Christmas music on TV all day while they reclined on the only comfortable chairs in the house. We left at 4:30. They asked if I wanted to come over and watch football on Sunday since we are not doing ceramics until January. Ummmmm...no thank you. I need some me time.
My Christmas gift to day was lost twice by the retailer and then I had a cancellation email waiting for me when I came home yesterday. I was trying to buy Dad a Dyson cordless vac. I ended up going someplace else for it and paying $100 more. It should be here next week.
Dad bought me a new camera since mine old one was broken...or rather he gave me the money for one. Its funny...I usually don't take photos in November and December, but I felt so incomplete without a camera.... really incomplete. Weird. But I can hold it and quote Sweeney Todd "At last my Arm is complete again" My promise o me is to do the photo thing better this year. I didn't take any pictures this half a year because I thought I hurt my hands, but since it is arthritis I can just bull on. A good thing is that 2 of my Vietnamese coworkers like photography too. I think we can use this to overcome some communications barriers too.
The big thing is that I need help with formatting with the newer apple photo app... it stinks, but it's what they built into the machine. I don't know if I can unload that and get something else. We shall see. I tried to tackle it when I got the computer but never went back to it when Ma got sick. I want to get over that.
