Nov. 30th, 2019 03:06 pmI set out today at 8:15 thinking that they were using shuttle buses this week instead of redline trains. I was wrong...which was good... but I ended up in Boston an hour before many of the stores were open. My main goal was to get to a book store called "More Than Words" It is a store that is a Non Profit social enterprise that empowers youth in foster care, court involved, hopeless, or just not in school to work in a business. They had a Christmas event there with local crafters. I did get lost as at some point the street becomes east street name and all the numbers changed.
I found gift items for the impossible gift people... cute artsy things because they have everything. YAY!!!!!!!
If the impossible people were not in Texas then they also would have gotten a succulent plant in a fun hand made pot... instead I bought me one.
I also talked with a couple of watercolor artists and a jewelry maker. That did my head a lot of good after the craft shows. The jewelry person has a similar style to mine and my prices are on point..I just have the wrong audience.
I also picked up my sister's gifts at Macy's. After black Friday they place looked like a tornado hit it, but I knew they would have exactly what I wanted and I was not disappointed. Standing at a register for 45 minutes when I was the second person in line did irk me. The customer in front of me kept arguing with the staff and everything she had in her hands was excluded from the coupon she had. Oi. If I didn't have the perfect things in my hands I would have just left them there.
Right now I have my feet up. I probably walked 8 miles with bags.
