So I did the craft show for my friend. I have to chalk it up as a favor. I made $5 after paying for the table.

Dad may $30 selling scarves.

I was directly across from a group that had a 45 foot table of jewelry. There was also someone there with ceramics. A couple of friends pointed out that the other ceramics were only student grade... yes...but she sold at student prices...2 dollars 3 dollars. My stuff got ton's of compliments, even from some really snobby senior citizen artist types (touting the art school they went to)

Someone said I should put some things into a coffee shop around my way. Yes, I would like that, but all we have is Dunkin Donuts and Chinese food restaurants. There are no small cute shops like up in my beloved Ipswich... and yes, I went to Ipswich, but they only show residents stuff.

And then I have heard from a few people in the on line ceramics community that Etsy is trying to get people to do free shipping... then that just drives up the cost of the items.

Oh well...the usual lament.

I am going to try and take some really nice photos of things and put them up on my fb page. I have some friends that are always happy to repost my things, as I do theirs and see if I can get a liking.

I have a couple of friends who have thriving facebook businesses. Once people get to know you and your goods by shares and word of mouth you might get sales, especially at this time of year. Worth a try.
