ravena_kadeThe boss's boss came in from Pennsylvania. She met with the boss most of the day. She did say hello to us several times and we handsome small talk. She seems nice enough. Not sure go what will happen to us, but that has been decided by the director and we can only wait to find out. Right now she needs to know what we do as she has no idea. The favored team members are afraid they will be teaching someone so they can loose their jobs. They may not be wrong. The only defense is to try and jump ship before they pull the rig out from under you. Me, asked to people to keep an ear open for jobs that they think would fit my needs... my needs are simple right now; I need a boss that will let me go to doctor appointments. I know its not right if they don't, but many feel medical stiff is on your time...but you can't get an appointment after 4 PM...
Today the boss comes to me and says that the Pennsylvania boss will sit with me sometime tomorrow or Thursday morning. Okay. The Pennsylvania boss specifically wants to know why the older woman cannot balance the accounts that I do. I thought that was funny. I would love to know how my direct boss presented that.... sadly the coworker can't do it because she is incompetent and should retire... why do I have to explain this...unless I am defending my job... Yup, won't lay off someone who can't work. This has me on edge and me on edge is ...well...edgy...
Then my boss says that the month end reporting that I was finished with last month has to be done again this month... she actually raised her hand in front of my face and said don't get stressed out... and that it has to be done before she went on vacation so I had 4 days to do what I should have 2 weeks to do and she knows that had a vacation day planned (and I planned it because I did not have to do the reporting). I wanted to slap her hand out of my face. I said I was not stressed. I really had to try not to growl. I said that the expectation is that I do the reporting in 4 days, do all the older coworkers work as she is on vacation, and all my ex-back up's work because she is gone, and train people from Rhode Island on the ATM claims all at the same time... without OT... no, I am not stressed, I am mad.
Sigh.
came home and had to cook dinner. Dad says I know that you don't want to cook dinner, but you have to. Sigh
Then I co to the cousins to check on the cats and check the house out. I am there an hour or so.
Worked 2 hours in the ceramic cellar and have the kiln firing.
I need to go to bed as my hands and arms are going numb, but no one will diagnose with carpal tunnel or some other things. I need to fin another hand specialist...
