ravena_kadeThis week is my back ups last week. I had always thought this was a good thing, but not with the uncertainty of the department.
I have Friday off. I said to the boss that I could balance my ledger account from at home and only take 6 hours. She said no, that she would make the back up do it.... uuuummmm....sure you are.
I also have the 5th of October off. Not enough time to train any one where I have to train someone from Pennsylvania tp take away my claim function. Once again I offered to balance my ledger account from home. Once again she said no. She said that she would do it and sassily added "who do you think did it before you came"...ummm... my fucking trainer that's who....but I said oh, okay. Frankly then why the hell didn't she do it all those times my back up didn't. The time I had a surgical procedure and had to come in and find it not done. Why the hell is she playing games with me????!!!!! This makes work so exhausting.
Last night I made cookies for the cookie contest. They are the family Thanksgiving and Christmas cookies made with consented mincemeat. Funny that my boss had no idea what mincemeat was, but the Vietnamese ladies knew. The cookies were well liked and I got some votes. That is nice. The important thing is that I met a woman who does all sorts of events. I need to network.
The new manager is coming in from Pennsylvania for 3 days. We thought that it would be a friendly thing to take her to a local clam shack/burger place for lunch... but the woman who plans out little lunches said that the Boss didn't want us to do that... Makes her think that we will have bad news this week. That is sad that the boss has us all feeling threatened. I said that while we may not have a department in a few months that doesn't mean she should stop doing things to make the days pleasant. Maybe we can go next week... or the following week the boss is on vacation...we can go then.
Tomorrow I am going ask a couple people to keep an eye out for open positions for me. I need a boss who willed me take my Dad to medical appointments... Ideally one who will let me take him and take my own, but that won't happen....
