Sep. 22nd, 2019 10:29 pmFriday Dad picked me up from work and we headed to the pottery store. It saddened me that the store is no longer open on Saturdays...how are people with jobs supposed to buy their wares... and after being stuck in traffic for 2 hours I was actually mad that they closed on Saturdays. On a Saturday morning it would take 20 minutes to get there...2 hours on weekday...and I get out of work at 2:30. Anyone who works until 5 cannot shop there unless they take a vacation day. Grumble. So much for trying o save on shipping and trying copay in cash. Did not get home until after 6 and by the time I finished working in the ceramic cellar it was 9 PM before I could eat dinner.
Saturday was a lovely summer day... gotta love the weather in New England. I worked in the ceramic cellar, made Dad's lunch, went shopping for Dad's groceries, went to the hardware store, a nursery for fall flowers, and went out to dinner. Then went back down to the cellar.
Today I was up early, made lunches, prepped dinner for the grill, did laundry, did 2 hours in the ceramic cellar and then spent the rest of morning and afternoon in the yard. Did some landscaping and spread mulch for the front of the house. I wanted more character on the house and now have gotten Dad on board...Ma didn't like my quirky style so it was never done. I also then fought with a daylily plant to move it and split it up to give to friends. It was hard. I had to dig it up with my hands like a badger. It was also hard as it was 87 degrees F ...a smidgen warm for the later half of September. I went for a soak in the spa we have...the water was nice and cool. I dried off sitting on my custom orange chair...watching the butterflies and bees at my butterfly bush... and some preying mantis in the day lilies.
After su=ome time in the sun I grilled dinner and then went to visit my cousins cats and the cousins are in Europe. Came home and baked 4 dozen cookies for a cookie day at the bank....
I am tired and the house is war,. Tomorrow we have summer temps again.
