it gets worse

ravena_kadeI come in today and the older coworker is not in. Sigh. I have to back her up.
She left a voice message at 7 pm last night. Sadly it seems that coworkers 97 year old dementia diagnosed mom forgot that her daughter's husband was dead and had an argument about how he doesn't visit her and how ungrateful he is since she gave them both the house. Sad. The coworker sounded hysterical. I feel bad. I called her and she said the same thing and sounded just as hysterical. Sad.
Then the back up did not come in. No big surprise since she is leaving on 9/27. The bigger surprise is when the Vietnamese friends that my boss favors tell me that the VP wants to make the back up a counter offer and get rid of me and the older worker. UMMMMM... the back up doesn't do any work. OMFG. The Vietnamese friends are concerned as they don't have enough work. They were hoping that the back up would leave and that I would be let go so they could have more work.
This just seems ridiculous. I feel like someone is trying to push me over the edge.
I need a few days in a cottage by the sea.
