ravena_kadeToday was a hard day.
I finished all the month end repotting and then had lots to clean up ... or try to clean up. I have not been able to focus on my work for almost a month. And now I have this rush to clear everything so I can train someone in Rhode Island on my job...
and then the boss comes over and tells me they want 500 transactions processed today... hmmm
My heart isn't in it. I am aggravated and stressed that I may not have a job... and she is pushing me when everyone else around me is laughing and joking and DOING NOTHING.
She asked me if I told anyone about the change in responsibilities. I said no as I am not in the mood for gossip. I suggested that she tell my back up. I said that I was waiting for someone on the floor to tell me I have no job. It's a gossiping type business. She said she would tell the back up. She didn't and she is working at home tomorrow so she can watch football tonight. I will tell the back up tomorrow.
At one point she is pushing me and I just gave her a look that must have told her I had enough. She tried to tell me that the new boss is saying that our jobs are safe. I told her that I understand that it is protocol for management to lie directly to an associates face concerning lay offs. I am here until I am not...and I hope I have a package. She said she is waiting for one as well. She is 58. She will need it too.
