Jul. 25th, 2019 07:42 amYesterday I had a fabulous day with my friend Susan. We git up early and headed to old Orchard Beach. She has a routine when she goes and this is her happy place. I am happy that she enjoys sharing it with me.
We got up at 6:30 AM...that is deliciously late for me... and headed North. It takes about an hour and a half. We were on the beach before 9. It was only about 75 degrees F so it was nice. The Maine water is too cold for me to actually swim in, but we waded in and I thought the cold water would do my hands some good. We hung out there until 11 30 and then we walked into the tourist part of town to have some French Fries...for lunch and the walked back to a beach to get our gear and headed over the the Brunswick Motel...a big wooden structure that has a large patio area with 3 bars. We settled in there and listened to live music for the rest of the afternoon. Susan knows one of the musicians so we chatted with him. All in all a lovely non stress day... with nothing too stressful for the hands.
I finally heard back from my primary doc and she reviewed the blood work and while I have some elevated things it is nothing that would cause the hand issues. She did say that some of the results just may be from dehydration since I do not like drinking water and she encouraged me to keep drinking 4 to 6 bottles a day. She feels that the swelling issue is due to injury and that the trigger finger is separate...but the hand doctor can tell more.
So this is week 2 of my hands hurting...
