Frankie continues to be lovable.

One thing that is odd is that a he kneads a lot... and hard. I am getting bruised from it.He also kneads with claws out. He purrs all the time he is doing it so I think he is happy

Maybe get your iron checked or something; a cat's kneading should not be BRUISING your flesh.

He is pretty pokey when he does it on my chest. I do not find it pleasant... it feels like someone poking hard with their thumbs with little sharp claws.

Does Frankie belong to you? One of mine kneads and it hurts with the claws but doesn't bruise, thankfully.

Frankie was gifted to us when his 90 year old person passed away. Peopl I know thougt he would be good for Dad not to come home to an empty house now that Ma has passed, Frankie is more bonded to me since i am now feeding him and he has to stay in my apartment (we own a 2 family) since there is construction in teh first floor kitchen.

get a quilt of some kind
only let him kneed when the quilt is protecting you
he will soon associate the quilt with his need to kneed and wait for it

we have used his with our cats - it works
it is particularly helpful with bebe who flexes her luxurious sharp claws in her ecstacy

Kitty should not be kneading hard enough to bruise. That's unusual.

I think he is an OCD kneader. I have read that this could be from not having been around mom.

Most cats I know knead in your lap, but this guy needs around my collar bone and is very pokey.
