Jul. 17th, 2019 10:14 pmSo I got my blood results online today. Not sure why they let you see them without understanding what they mean ... the internet is a confusing place to go looking for info
My BP was good for me. In the normal range. High...but high normal.
My cholesterol stuff was all within the normal ranges. Good.
There were only 4 flags on the blood panels:
Lymphocytes Low
Ecsinophils High
eGFR non African Low
Sedimentation Rate High.
I am thinking that the sedimentation rate has to do with my kidneys not cleaning up the blood properly...so its 6 bottles of water a day... I don't like water...but I dislike kidney stones even more. Perhaps I have just become dehydrated as I don't always drink water.
I really can't find much I understand about the other 3 items.
My hands are still swollen...the left only a bit. The right more so that its hard to make a fist. The knuckles still hurt when I make a fist...and the right ring finger is still getting locked.. Nothing I can't handle... but I want to know why... and nip it in the bud.

I am not a doctor!!
Date: 2019-07-18 09:34 am (UTC)A low lymphocyte count can be a result of Big Stress (sound familiar?), but combined with a high eosinophil count it probably means you're fighting an infection of some kind.
Editing again: that eGFR number being low means your kidneys aren't working at full tilt. My Dad's eGRF number is, like, ten. And he's on dialysis for it.
All these things combined make me think you've probably got a sneaky little UTI that crawled up your urethra, through your bladder, and into your kidneys, lady.

Date: 2019-07-18 08:33 pm (UTC)I am hoping this. It's what it feels like....aside from the trigger finger.
Today I got back another test... my ANA panel is spotty. It should be negative. That is bad, but when I try to look up what it means it jumps from Arthritis to Hep c to HIV to Mono, to maybe just a false reading... They sent me an email that the results were in at 7:02 AM and I could not read them until I got home... and I called and nothing has been reviewed by the doc yet. I said I would like a call back...even just to set up an appointment.

Date: 2019-07-19 12:31 am (UTC)Do you like seltzer water? I drink a *ton* of that stuff because plain water doesn't really do it for me. There's nothing bad in it, either, so that's good.
