Being upset about an award is stupid.

There was a town hall meeting at work today.

They had what they call a a parade of respect. The execs and giant balloons.

I was rewarded for something I do once a month. The bosses had to nominate me. They both are not here. I felt like an idiot.

I made sure to recognize my back up as she works on this too. The team should have been recognized even if we are dysfunctional

I am upset because no one really cares about what I really work hard at... even my bosses..

No one saw how I killed myself last week.

I'm confused, how can you say that nobody notices how hard you work when your bosses nominated you for an award? That looks to me like they noticed, and did the only thing they could think of to tell the rest of the company that they appreciate it.

they did it for something very minor and not the real work I do. Not the fraud work . Not the stuff I fight with to keep under control. Not doing everyone else work when they are incompetent...

It would be like writing a huge document, but getting a reward because you used a binder clip to hold it together...and no one read the doc.

That and the reward was a medal... that said respect on it. Last week I didn't feel respected.
