Jul. 6th, 2019 10:06 pmToday was a no chore day.
I headed to the beach and it was lovely. The side was still not low enough to find sand dollars, but I did collect clam shells so I can make stuffed clams at home. Spent 2 hours on the beach... the sun was hot and the water was perfect. I saw 2 Monarch butterflies on the beach..my first siting for the year.
After the beach I headed to the pub for lunch. They did not have clams as there is a red time alert so I suffered with a lobster roll. It was really nice. Talked with an old clam differ at the bar and he thinks they won't be able to dig local clams until August.
After lunch I did some retail therapy and talked with a local pastel artist. The retail therapy included some cards, a new bracelet, and some tea and other things that may help me sleep a bit better.
Since it was still hot I decided that dinner would be ice-cream sundaes. WE then had some really close/strong thunder storms. I enjoy watching the storms over the bay. Across the bay in South Boston a sail boat was struck by the lightning.
The rest of the night has been some texting and cruising the internet.
I will have to catch up tomorrow.
