ravena_kadeThere was flash flooding this morning as I tried to walk to the train station.
A woman stopped to rescue me and offered me a lift the half mile I had left. I suit that I could hear my Mom's voice saying take take rides from strangers. The woman laughed and says that she says that to her 20year old daughter all the time too. ;-)
I made it to the commuter rail and then up to Ipswich. There were not many people on the beach because storms were forecasted for the day. Buy the storms were to quiet for the hours when I was there. I walked the beach and listened to the waves...jst what I needed. Since the tides were not right for looking for sand dollar I decided to go explore the remains of a ship at the other side of the beach. It was nice just to get away from everything.
At 1 PM Dad met me for lunch at the favorite bar. Sadly they did not have clams. The rains cause the claim flats tp flood with fresh water and sometimes run off from the streets so the bacteria count is high. So I went with my second choice there...grilled lamb tips.
Home now. My feet are complaining because I walked about 6 miles barefoot in the tideline.
Dad and I will go for an ice-cream for dessert.
The other plus is that the new dryer was installed this morning... we are happy to be doing laundry normally again.
