Friday I took an Amtrak train to Dover NH to meet up with "allgudallthetim" at her work and then headed to her house. It was a lovely sleep over...much needed as I am processing lots of stressful things right now. She made me a lovely dinner of Salmon and asparagus... a favorite of mine that I have not cooked as no one at home will eat it.

Saturday we headed of to a sea glass expo in New Hampshire and I was blown away by all the crafts that people do with sea glass. There were several pieces of jewelry that I would have loved, but I was good because I have the kitchen to hopefully pay for. I have some ideas to try and do something with some shadow boxes I have and hopefully some folks will like what I put together.

She also too me to North Beach, just north of Hampton Beach. It was gray and winding, but poking around the shore and listening to the surf is what I needed. We had a nice lunch, I had clam Chowder ;-) Perfect after a walk along a chilly shore.

Took the train home and met my Dad at the cousins. I sent him there to watch the Derby and to be with people for dinner.

Today is ceramics class. I only have a few more weeks before the cousins break for July and August. Next week is Mother's Day and then there is Memorial Day weekend so there will be no classes then. I need to get what ever funds I can in the next couple weeks as I think the kitchen will be mostly done this week except for the counter tops.

That sounds like a wonderful trip to your friend's house and just what you needed. A change of scene is often a bit of a tonic. I find that listening to the waves roll in is very therapeutic.

I've seen sea glass/pottery exhibitions. Isn't it wonderful what people can turn it into?
