ravena_kadeTexas Uncle is here. We had a nice dinner Monday and Tuesday. My Aunt made me a lovely afghan with sea turtles on it. It was supposed to be a Christmas Gift but she hurt her arm and could n to crochet back then.
They still have no plans. None of their friends seem to want see them for long so it does not look like they are going to New Hampshire for the few days like expected. I think that is sad, but they never called anyone last month when they decided to come up. I think they are loosing touch with reality. Oh well. I have not told them about my time off so I will have some private time.
And then today I get a call from the contractor. His plans for the work at the Zoo have been put on hold today for over a month because of some school program... so... he wanted to start today. Not convenient, but better to get t done and get the money out of my hands... so I know what is left.
Sadly just before he called I made an appointment for some personal care things that I truly need as I said I could make up the money next month. Oh well it needs to be done. It will just be a quiet summer... and the beach is free.
The good news is that they did not have to pour new footings for the stairs so I save $600.

Date: 2019-05-23 06:43 pm (UTC)and yes, beach is free. we need to do Rhode Island south shore together again this year. if everything is OK here, i'm definitely committing to a few days camping there again this summer.
