So today I come in and there was an urgent request that came in after I left. No one responded to it so I processed...only to find out at the end of the transaction that it had already been done... Now the procedure is to respond and copy all so we know it was done. That and got 6 years no one has ever done any of these types of requests once I leave. My back up did it and didn't tell anyone. Not a huge deal, but to reverse what I did means that this credit card holder will see 5 transactions on his statement... What a stupid system that is so live you can't stop something from showing up on a statement that is not issued for another 10 days. Oi. I explained it to my boss who was grouchy over it, but understood why I didn't see it. We will have a meeting on this next week. Sigh.

Then we get a call from the back up thatcher car was side swiped. She is okay, but the car hit on the side the baby was on so she wanted to take the baby to the clinic and have her looked at. Ok. The boss said do what you have to do and text her. The boss tells me that she also asked for a half a day tomorrow. The boss never heard back from her. The boss thought she would get home around noon and work remote. The boss texted to see if the Baby was alright, but no work back.

The boss wants me to do all her work and theater woman work for the next 3 days. I said what would you want done first. She said all of it and laughed. I said I am not in the mood. I need to prioritize because there is no way I can do EVERYTHING.

and then the boss tells me she is not going to be in tomorrow as she is going out tonight and can't get up early. She will be remote, but none of the things that I would have needed help with can be done remote.

Your workplace and coworkers suck. I think I'd almost prefer to work two jobs than work there with all the stress and pressure you are constantly under (hugs).
