I had 3 people call me Roseann this week. All service people, no one I knew. One guy I got, I made a deposit to my Dad's checking account and the checks have our 3 names on them.

Yesterday's train travel was fraught with delayed trains. Two in from of me and then my train went disabled. I was getting anxious boy missing my connection since the Connecting train was not leaving from the regular station. It was a station further down the lain that I wasn't familar with. The station is the deepest underground station on the line and you cannot run up or down the escalators. They are too steep and see like etc one is 100 feet. I made it with a few minutes to spare, but there were 2 blind men who were trying to get around. I could not just leave them there to walk into the concrete walls and try and do all the stairs...other people did. The elevator was out of service. It figures. And there were no train workers at the station to help. I ask if the one of the men minding putting a hand on my shoulder as I didn't think my description of the area would be smooth enough for them to navigate. The men also seemed to have a few developmental disabilities as well, but I have helped with that before... So we headed up....a weird human train with the second blind man holding the shoulder of the first. We did okay. All I could do is remember trying to guide my Mom the days before she broke her arm and how mean and impatient the medical people were with her because she was scared. The commuter rail part of the station was not thought out for people with disabilities. Concrete stairs with metal railings everywhere because of stairs and separation people from the trains. Once I got up all the stairs and by the train engine the train conductor saw me and cam out to help as there was one more ramp to get the men up. The men were ice and told me of their experiences train traveling and such. They even told me how I could get back to Boston using the bus. Something I may do next time I go to Waltham.

Once at the festival I spent some time looking at crafts and such... and listening to live music. There was a belly dance exhibition that was fun. I love seeing the larger sized ladies take center stage and get the appreciation the deserve. I do wish I was coordinated enough to try it, but I don't have much sense of my own space so I just play wall flower and enjoy.

There was a tent where someone was doing carrot card readings and stave readings (small sticks with runes). I sat for a reading as I usually enjoy. I picked out the 3 staves and the woman started telling me about the process and how the wood of the stave was part of the reading. I picked out 3 staves of hazel wood. My Dad always cold my Mom Hazel (when they went out as kids another guy in the group had a girl friend name Rose Marie... so others would get the names mixed up. My Mom became Hazel and the other girl became Gladys)

The weather today is not great so no garden time. Not heading up to Ipswich either as Dad wants to go to the cousins. I think it is okay to leave Dad alone Mother's day... the last couple years I would say no, I doubt they want to do ceramics... but I will bring the stuff just in case.
