ravena_kadeI was able to do some yard work in-between the rain showers. I took care of the small front step garden. Weeded and planted a flat or orange yellow and white violas. They have a lovely scent.
I was out on the back yard and freed up a 5ft section...thinning out some grassy iris that had taken over the bed. Cleared around the peony and Day Lilies there. I do need to move one of the day lilies but I am going to wait until after they flower.
I did laundry for the week and put in some chicken and salsa in the crock pot for dinner. Then I tackled the craft room... I am pleased with the clearing up. I have a few things on the drafting board. I want to finish them up and then pack then up for the craft shows later this year. If I put them away now I won't get back to them. One of the items is a nativity set. It takes up room.
I am tired now. My hands are stiff from using the garden claw and the pitch fork. Some aspirin will take care of that and then bed.
I hope that it is not raining in the morning so I can go out in the yard for an hour or so.
Dad wants to go over to the cousins for Easter. I am bringing a salad. I don't think they are cooking anything special. Dad thought hot dogs would be good. =/ So much for a holiday. I did pick up a Ham for another day so I will at least have a holiday meal sometime later.
