The day was long. The manager told us that my back up's Mom had passed away on Saturday and that she would be out this week. How sad. I don't have any details but she wasn't ill last week.

So I was doing her work and my work and dinosaur spent the day gossiping about someone who gave their 2 weeks notice. My boss comes back from vacation on Wednesday so I won't get any help until then.

Personally I don't think 5 days bereavement is enough when you loose your Mom. While it will be hard for me I hope she takes more time. The work we do is not enough to push away the sadness... I just say and mentally rehashed everything I did wrong.

Dad is still Killing me with his finance... sigh...

Tonight was a long night at the shelter too. We ave an anxiety ridden german shepherd. She is a beautiful girl, but so scared everything. So sad. She will need a quiet home.

I wanted to gesso my canvases for the class next weekend, but I am just too wiped. I will have to do it tomorrow.

Seems like you get no help even when she is there. :(

not a lot, but there are things with a dead line so she will help get them done or ride someone's ass to get them done. She looks bad if I stay late.

I agree bereavement is never long enough.

If I can pull it off I will be prepared for when the back up jumps ship...not sure if that is going to be June or September.
