Soooo... the dinosaur started before 6 AM. She kept pushing me. I had answers that would shut her up...and possible snap her neck... but I held my tongue. She kept at it. I had to tell her that she does not know all of the situation, nor do I want to go into it any longer... Just know that you are upsetting me and you must stop.

Sigh...


I know she doesn't mean it...and I know my answers would have been brutally honest, but i couldn't do that and sit next to her for the entire day...

So I walked away and found a corner to cry in.

how is she pushing you? i mean seriously WTF is her problem with just shutting up? i'm not sure why you can't just tell her to shut up unless it's about work? i mean, in a nice way. and have that be that. that's just crazy-annoying.

with personal crap and about finances crap... telling me what I should do and stuff.... when I can't understand how she says she won't retire because of money when she hasn't had a mortgage since 1992 and tells us that her sons paid for her husbands funeral...and that he had a 300k life insurance policy... she claims ll of this but I won't throw it back at her because she lost her husband. And she gossips about everyone at work and how stupid they are...and I just can't tell her how no one will give her work because she isn't competent, etc.

yeah, having her droning on when they'd probably like her to retire has got to be awful. i still maintain that politely informing her that you don't care for her opinion is always an option. maybe you can try something to spark empathy, like "Look, as far as you know, I could have a thousand opinions about how you dress, how you talk, how you run your life, and what you do at work, but do you hear me criticizing you constantly, every day? No, I do not, because that would be _rude_." or maybe there's some funny way to get her to realize she is WAY overstepping.
