I find funerals torture... I know that they are not supposed to be fun.

Looking at dead friends unnerves me.

While not having services for my Mom has left me feeling like we just forgot about her, I am still glad she always made it known she did not want a wake...never wanted anyone sitting by her dead body for hours.

I know I want to do something for her... someday I will figure out what... something with her name on it.

Unfortunately I found comfort in a batch of Chinese dumplings.

hon, you're not alone in feeling that way about funerals. i dread them.

Funerals suck. However I have found them to be useful in that I see the ceremony as a path to closure.

I just guess I don't need to see the dead.

Yeah, I feel ya. Wakes are harder for me than the pomp and circumstance of a funeral, especially a Mass.
