ravena_kadeIt's been a TOUGH week.
I made my deadline for the new work I have been given, but it was like pulling teeth. The trainer was out 3 days... and wanted me to do one thing. My boss, who was out all last week, wanted me to do something else...
The woman that sits next to me record a phone call that her86 year old Mom fell in the nursing home and broke her hip ad was at the ER. I offered to take her to the ER by train. At that time in the morning I know I could get her there in 25 minutes. My boss was okay with it... another woman offered to drive her. It took them over an hour. Turns out the Mom fell at 4:30 in the AM and the home did not take her to the ER until 9 AM. SAD.
So the woman was out for 3 days and the boss wants me to do all her work, plus do my regular month end reporting, plus the new reporting that I am trying to learn... all this while my back up looks up real estate in Texas because she wants to move. She did nothing all week.
I did get my review...on paper as the boss doesn't see the need to talk to me. The review was good...the words were good. The bonus was trash. The bank did not give decent bonuses to anyone. Raises were about $0.05...a buckle an hour. Once they tax the bosnus I may just be able to buy heating fuel. I will not be able to buy a dryer. I will not be able to fix my porch, I will not be able to go to the salon for a new doo...
Took Dad to the doc
Took the cat to the vet.
Still need to schedule getting the taxes done.
Tomorrow I am going out with my friend to listen to her musician friends play. Hopefully we will avoid gunfire this time.

Date: 2019-02-16 02:23 pm (UTC)As a person I would be best working in my own shop, but the healthcare issue keeps me away. Universal health care would allow me to open up a studio and try my wits at self employ. I would never be wealthy, but I think I could be content.
