Et Tu, Brutus?

So I did the big girl thing and scheduled that medical test that starts with a C... that you get when you are 50... and well I have avoided...and avoided... and...

I asked for a late Friday appointment so I know I can get a ride.

There are 2 reasons I have been avoiding it. One is that anesthesia has not ever really worked on me. The second is that the day before they told me that I had to make the discussion for Ma's life she had a similar thing... they did not tell me then that they were prepping for for her final days... and she called me screaming and crying as she was awake (and very blind)... we went to her... and stayed until 10 PM and at 8 AM the next day they told me thing things were terrible....

So...

Most people have called me a pussy for not having it done... and I still say F them...

So, I agreed to a Friday in March. Okay. No one is on vacation...

...and the date was the 15th... so after maybe a corned beef dinner (hold the cabbage) ...but it was the 15th.

Not until I was off the phone did I hear a little voice in my head say "Beware the Ides of March" I say funny, because I have always said "Beware the Ides of March"

This will be interesting.

I will keep my sense of humor... even if it degrades to 12 year old boy humor....

I do hope the doctor isn't named Brutus.

The thing is once this is done I will know if the only thing wrong with me, well physically...mentally its still a crap shoot (ha ha ha ) is that I am 30 pounds over weight. It is before my physical..so the primary care doc should be happy about that. Hopefully I can get things down so I don't need BP meds.

I don't know if it helps, but the prep is worse than the procedure and you really feel fine afterward, Just very, very hungry

They let me wake up halfway through mine so I could see my insides on the huge monitor :). For what it's worth, when I walked out of there I had absolutely no sensation that anything had taken place. Pack snacks for the ride home though! {{hugs}}

Having spent tend and a half hours under general back in the day for reasons you're aware of, I know how terrifying it can be.

Well, I will let you know how it goes.

My cousins say it's nothing, but others have said other things. I also have to deal with the muppet and I am afraid how I will react when out. I think I would rather be away and just given something to relax... like a pot brownie ;-)
