so yesterday the cable people came back. They were 1.5 hours early. I got a call on my cell phone as I was walking home from the train station. Sigh. I told him that I would have to go in and secure the cat before I let him in. He seemed annoyed that I wasn't excited to have him there so early.

I show him where I wanted the cable box and he seemed to get a tad anxious My TV was almost as old as he was so he didn't know what to do with it. REALLY? He had to call for back up. My TV is a Sony Vega... it has a perfect picture and Bose quality speakers. I am not just throwing it out. Oi.

The back up came with an adaptor and I had my TV. I then asked about the other TV we had issues with Saturday and it was the same reason. The back up tech said that when I told the people in the office that I had an older TV that they didn't know it meant no HDMI cable. No one imagines that anymore.

Now I just have to shut down my old systems and get the pay off amounts for my accounts. That will be tomorrow.

I hate to think of what they'd think about my ancient TV.

Just because there's new technology out there doesn't mean people throw away things that still work!

Good for you hanging on to your TVs even though they are old. We live in a throw away world but if it still works then why get rid? We all know the quality of the old stuff is superior.
