ravena_kadelast night I went out with my friend Susan. We went out to see a musician friend f hers play at a new place. The venue was a bar in the inner city and we did not know how it would be. Well, the bar was nice...most of the people there were between 40 and 80. We had dinner and drinks before the entertainment.
The place was crowded as there was a big football game on. Just before the musician started a group of 5 older women (late 60s to 80s) came in and were obviously looking to hear the musician. One guy gave up his chair for the eldest woman but the other 4 had to stand. My friend and I said that they could join us if we could get them more chairs. It turns out they drove 1.5 hours to see the musician friend, they had seen him several times before their part of the state. My friend went to the hostess to wrangle up some chairs, telling the hostess how far away the ladies came to see the musician. We were able to wrangle up some chairs and we had a great night. The ladies bought us some drinks. The 80 year old got trashed. She was cute and wanted to hug everyone. Funny.
I stayed over my friend's house since we did not leave the bar until midnight and we stayed up until 2 AM. My cousins cancelled ceramics for today We were up around 8 AM and headed off to breakfast. I had Eggs Benedict over crab cakes. Very good.
I was home about 11. Kitty was glad to see me. Since I do not have ceramics class today is a combo of puttering around the house and chores. I have done laundry, made shepherds pie for tomorrow's dinner, and some veggie soup for me.
I do need to write out bills for the month and then I hope to get on the stationary bike. I want to try my work computer on the new wifi... but I am just afraid it won't work. Once Ido that I can cancel my old internet and land line phone.
