Work makes no sense

ravena_kadeSo on Tuesday we were asked if we would like to work in Boston or Rhode Island. Most people said Boston.
Today we have a team meeting and the Boston Boss's Boss is on the meeting. He tried to address the panic that is going on. He said that most people want to work at State street in Boston. He said that we only have 3 floors in that building and it wont house all of us. That and since its in the middle of the fInancial district is is really for higher ups and not operations. He also said that they CANNOT force is to go to Rhode Island because it is 51 miles away. They do not have any buildings in mind. They do not want to be a remote work company. They do not want us to talk about this or complain.
So THEY cannot make me go to Rhode Island. I am not important enough to use the prestigious Boston real estate and I cant work from home 100%. We have to be out sometime in December and we have no place to go.
I am only staying because I need the time to deal with dad's dr appointments.
I dont understand why they wont let people work remote when they clearly have no interest in getting a building
