Revere Beach is trying to seduce me.

Lots of Moon snail shells. Lots. Like the beach was throwing them at my feet.

The water was warm and even if the tide wasn't in. The waves were nice an rhythmic... my favorite sound to get the troubles out of my head.

Lots of blue muscle shells to add to a wreath design I am planning. The blue muscles against the wet sand is a favorite color combination for me.

I also found a hermit crab molt, but it was too damaged to paint on.

Just as I said to myself "Revere, are you trying to seduce me?" In the water is a sand dollar. I didn't know Revere was the right type of habitat for sand dollars. A fabulous find. They are very fragile.

Then I had lunch at a place called Kelly's. They have world famous fried clams. They were very very good. The food must be really really good as the guys sitting at the table beside mine were 2 brothers that I recognize from a local food show called teh Phantom Gourmet....they are not the phantom. but these guys live and breath restaurants

I was on the beach 3 hours. It was nice. The beach wasn't crowded. I bet it is on the weekends...but I will find that out another time.

A I walked the tide line back to the beach entrance by the train station I crossed the path of a woman who looked like an Italian Grandmother. She must have been watching me pick up shells. When we got close she said "Isn't this beautiful?" I said Absolutely. She asked if it was my first time visiting. I told her that it was my second time and it amazes me how clean this beach is and how my home beach is full of litter. She told me that the city takes care of it and that most of the citizens have a great respect for the beach I said it shows.

A little father down the beach I heard music. There was a speaker on the shore playing what sounded like dance music with and African beat. In the water was a man with dredds and dark skin dancing. He looked like a merman. He was beautiful and had a gold hoop earring . He was very happy enjoying the water. He asked me to join him, but I didn't have a swim suit on and needed to catch a train. I told him next time for sure ;-)

I need to go back sometime with my camera...the best light is around 3 or 4 pm.

Tomorrow I head to Ipswich and Crane's beach. I wonder what I will find there.

Right now I am very tired... mostly because I didn't carry water and I got dehydrated again from being in the hot sun. Tomorrow I need to bring water with me.
