Aug. 7th, 2021 09:21 pmToday I made it to Crane's beach in Ipswich.
They are not advertising the shuttle.
They are not advertising that you do not need a timed ticket to get on to the beach. Most of the residents of the town think you do.
The bar tender thinks they had to restart the shuttles or they would have lost the grant that supports the program. The idea is that you are bringing city people without cars to this place. Many people would be underserved people in the city and they way they do the lottery to get on the beach could be considered elitist because working folks cannot try fir a lottery on a Thursday at noon.
It was a perfect beach day. The sand was fine and golden. I believe there is mica in the sand from the way t sparkles. The tide was high and the waves sang to me. There were not a lot of moon snails... I think the beach knew I was seduced by Moon snails at Revere beach on Tuesday. But it did give e a sand dollar even though the tide was wrong for that.
I walked barefoot in the tide for about 8 miles so right now my toes hate me. I also forgot to pack a water so I got a tad dehydrated.
