Today Dad and I went up North. Ipswich was having its Old Towne Day craft show so we went up. Saw lovely things and bought a few things. They had a good day for it.

We went to our favorite bar and had Lobster. There were no clams as all the rains send street and river run off into the mash and clam flats and there is a case of red tide in the area. So I suffered with lobster. ;-P

While we were eating I saw teh Beach Shuttle bus drive by. I almost cried. The bar tender said that they started it back up on July 10th. She wasn't sure if you still needed a timed ticket or not, but just seeing the bus made me happy. I am busy next weekend but on the 8th I am headed North to get on that bus and see what happens.

Decided last week that today was a payback day for all the things I do for Dad and I went searching for a beach. I wanted to try Sandy point reservation but the Ipswich fold kept telling me that you had to get there early or there would be no parking. It was over an hour away from Ipswich and I didnt want to take that chance. I went to Plum Island Beach instead.

Plum Island beach is not really a place I would go to again, but it fit my needs for the day. We got there at High tide and the beach was only about 15 ft wide and crowded. No seashells. I bet there would have been some at low tide. The sand that was there was nice. Courser than my Ipswich beach, but nice to walk on. It was a golden color. Felt good on the feet. The water was refreshing. The waves had a lovely sound. I walked about 2 miles. Dad sat on a rock and scratched lottery tickets.

after the beach we went for an ice cream.

It was a good day out of the house.

I am super happy about the bus and the possibility of being able to get to my favorite place.
