Jul. 19th, 2021 10:41 pmI worked 3 hours last night as I figure today would be a mess.
It was such a mess that I clocked in 12.5 hours.
Early on the boss messaged me asking if things were going okay. I said thee were problems. She said to let her know if I needed help. A while later I said that I needed help. She said that no one had time to help.
Tonight at the shelter we had 5 large mail dogs. All intact. All trying to get at each other.
The sickly German shepherd is feeling better and is a nice dog when he is not around the other males. Walks calmly, but is very alert. Good shepherd qualities. I enjoy walking him. The shelter is still trying to figure out his medical issues. Someone said they would be starting a medical campaign for him. His name is Dante so the campaign will be Dollars for Dante. I'm not sure what it will be but I want to donate. I like this dog.
We have a crazy husky. He is one of the first "oh I am working from at home so lets get a puppy...og now I have to go to work lets get rid of the dog we didn't teach any manners to. He is a goofy dog...full of husky energy. When I was walking him he saw a bunny and decided to pretend to be a greyhound and give chase...dragging me with him. My arms hurt from trying to hold him back. A woman who has just lost her elderly husky is interested in adopting him.
The shepherd that came in last week with the prong collar imbedded in his neck is doing fabulous. You would never know he had surgery to remove the collar last week. Someone is already interested in adopting him.
It was good to get out of the house tonight and work with the dogs. It was more productive than work.
