Mar. 23rd, 2021 08:27 pmToday I felted drained and exhausted, but got quite a bit of work done.
I did go out once I finished the work day and walked the beach at my house. It was mud low tide so I could not actually reach the water... walking out too far means you sink in the mud. Quincy Bay is mud bottomed and not sand bottomed. The beach sand was trucked in back in 1908. Somedays the mud smells of decay. (this is why I love my North shore beach).
I have decided to try and collect scallop shells at my home beach. One of my great joys over the years has been finding sand dollars and moon snail shells when I was able to go to my North Beach. I am hoping to trick myself to get into that same head space by looking for scallops at home. I will make an art project when I get enough.
I fell asleep in my chair after dinner. That was not productive.
