Yesterday I had a trip to the dentist. I need a crown. I thought the tooth was one of the teeth closer to the front. Nope. It was the second to last molar. 2 hours of drilling. She did good work and no really pain, but my jaw is very sore today. Oi.

I still have the desire to hibernate. I think I will give in to it for a bit... and make sure I snap out of it once I get back from Florida. I am traveling with Phoenix Swords for their Gulf Coats show. 4 days off of work and 5 days away from home will do me good. I look forward to some sun and warmer temps than we have here in Boston.

I am also trying to set up a spring ceramic seminar for young girl scouts...tp spread the knowledge of slip cast ceramics... in order to keep my craft alive in my state. The first session is a donation. I have some larger projects in mind that would require payment. We shall see who bites.

I have set up a ceramic league meeting for March 15... Hmmm...the Ides... We need to talk about wether or not they will have a show this year. I really do not want a table of bisque as the cash and work are not worth it for me. I will help, but unless my table is free I am not going to do it.

I am disappointed in the people in the league. The day we were suppose to meet in November to talk about the show, my friend's husband fell in the driveway, broke his neck and a week later his wife was told that he was brain dead. Members of the league showed up at the wake, but no one has even called her. They all asked me how they could help and I told them to call her, to support her shop, to come to class... no one has been back. People suck.

We do have a problem. My friend's husband was the last legal signer on the league bank account. The treasurer died 15 years ago and no one bothered to change anything. My friend thinks she can forge her husbands signature. Ummm... yeah, right. Personally have no issue with her writing a check to drain the account and using it to upgrade her store since she is the only member with a store front. Not kosher, but the bank shouldn't keep league money either. I personally believe that we would show slip cast ceramics to more people by doing craft shows as a group.
