Today was another pip at work.

It turns out that the account batch that the seconding command did with the dinosaur had errors. I was not surprised. It was out of balance. I know that the second looked at it for over and hour and couldn't figure it out. Then the boss took it and looked at it for 2 hours and could not figure out out. I was busy in the morning so I stayed out of it... but I caught up during lunch time so I took a look. I had a feeling of what it could be and while I was not interested in helping the dinosaur it was painful to watch the boss waste her time. I found the problem in less than a minute. I called the boss over and showed her. It had to do with a formatting issue. I asked the dinosaur if she checked a certain column. The value in the column should be 4 for all items. There were 200 items. She was adamant that she checked it several times. Ummm...nope. There were 7 transactions that had a 5 in that column and this is why the money was off. The boss seemed stunned that I had an answer so fast. I said that the second problem was that her batch was approved and the person who approved it did not check this. The second in command approved this. I told her what was wrong and her answer was that she didn't have time to look at each transaction. Really? I told there then not to even better approving them. My boss asked me to show her how to approve the batches correctly.

Finding the error took minutes...explaining things to the dinosaur and the second took 2 hours. Bah.

I was bad with retail therapy...

I should really bring it back...

It's winter here and in my neighborhood it is when we see Bad Eagles at the marshes around my beach at home.

I have wanted to photograph them, but my lenses are not big enough. There is a guy on FB that gets shots with a 400 mm lens.

I kinda said out loud the other day that my goal this year would be to catch an Eagle pic.

I got an email from the camera shop that there were having a sale on used gear. They had a used 100 to 400mm lens the was just the amount of Christmas money that my sister and uncles gave me.

I watched someone by the lens.

Sigh.

The camera guy showed me a Sigma lens...brand new. There was a $200 rebate on it.

I did take it home...even though it was still $200 more than my Christmas money...

not smart.

I better bag and Eagle.

and maybe figure out Instagram.
