allgudallthetim on Friday night and Saturday. We went to a Renn Faire in NH and it was lovely. Had a really nice time seeing a lot of old familiar faces. The day was hot, but I think we faired well. It was just so nice to be away and with friends.
I did do quite a bit of retail therapy these last few days away from work. I bought quite a few books and actually started reading again. Yay. I don't seem to be able to just relax and read any more. I bought some lotion for my hands that helps with swelling and joint issues ... just in case it is arthritis. I bout a few crystals for the little window altar I have and a fossilized sea urchin. And a copper necklace that goes with my new colors scheme.
Today I was up and out early for food shopping with Dad. Then we went to the cousins for a bit to pick up a book case for my front hall (they were going to toss it). Dad wanted to stay, but I have a ton of chores...and don't really want tp watch TV...so I came home. I have the feeling he likes being over there as they cater to him while I am bigger down with chores.
I have chicken in a crock pot cooking for dinner this week and will be making vegetarian chili in a bit. I will water the plants once the son gets low. I should be doing yard work but I am still in the process of resting the hand.
Tomorrow is work. Back after a 5 day weekend. It should be lobster week, but I am supposed to be training an audit team on my function. Once this is done I can once again take my birthday week off and spend it on a beach. I have 2 short days for doctor's appointments and Friday off for my Birthday so it should be a hectic week.
