So my boss gets in at 6 AM. The dino woman is away from her desk so the boss thanks me for yesterday... Again I said that I would not be the dick that doesn't let someone go to their graduation. She said that I could of, or I could have started something over it, but wanted to thank me for not doing that. But I reiterated that I don't know how to engage this person so I know when I am to back her up...and more importantly to make sure my work is backed up. It stresses me. The boss said that the back up was not invested. Yes, I know that... and that she expects her to leave once she graduates. I said yup, happy we are on the same page as that needs to be addressed as far as future plans go. The boss said she would make sure I am told when she is out. Okay sure. But the boss isn't going to invest anymore time into the back up as she is making it clear that she will leave. Yup I get that too...but what am I supposed to do? No answer

... at 2:30 today today the boss says goodnight and shays to the back up "have a nice day off tomorrow" and I roll my eyes at the box and say very loud..."oh you have tomorrow off? I didn't know that. Hope it's a fun day. what do I need to look at on your desk tomorrow" The boss looked surprised. I said good night and that we would talk in the morning.

2 women I have known since I was 15 passed away...one Monday and one Tuesday.

They died alone and afraid.

Both were older than my Mom.

I miss my Mom.
