Jun. 5th, 2018 08:21 pmSo I had my procedure done...
The meds that were supposed to make me loopy did not. I asked the nurse if it was too low a dose , but she said it was high. Hmmm... So while I waited I pulled out my phone and watched videos of my beach that I took last year. I think this year I may need to take a 20 minute video.
My biggest anxiety would be how I would react to the drugs...well... nothing happened.
We went on with the procedure with me knowing every step from me watching the you tube vid... the numbing shot hurt less than when I sliced my finger a couple weeks ago. It was Lidocane... Lidocane doesn't work much on me. I told them just to do the deed... again...it should feel like when I sliced my finger.. but inside.
I could feel the cutting stroke...but it was pressure and not slicing. It hurt... but nothing that made me jump. They removed a piece of flesh the size of dime and the thickness of a nickel.
Now it is just healing. I can tell that there is a hole there. I just have to watch for infection...and the time frame for that is 3 or 4 days. I have been warned that I can feel icky for a week...but so far so good. I am resting up for a week or so and then should be good.
I am looking forward to starting a painting this weekend and I have a trip to plan for =) And maybe a lobster on Friday
