Mar. 29th, 2018 06:12 pmToday had some not great time. The woman that sits next to me is trying to dump her 97 year old Mom in a nursing home, but since the woman does not have medicare (her husband never paid into social security) and the insurance she does have has no long term care coverage she is trying to get Mass Health for her (insurance for poor people) They have been denied 3 times... Umm yeah...4 months ago there was 15,000 in the Mom's bank account so she isn't considered poor... but they co worker keeps going on and on about how if they were a minority that they would get. My boss actually said that she didn't want to here the racist side of things. (Yay). And if you just hid 15K your Mom is not poor. And while logic says we all have our own journeys...this stuff is upsetting to me... it is triggering for me.
I did go out and treat myself to a really nice lunch...just to get away from my desk neighbor... I saw a really fresh looking donburi bowl of spicy salmon and avocado (over sushi rice). I will get that again. It was like Japanese comfort food.
The market also had the most tiniest butterflied leg of lamb that I have ever seen. It was under 2 pounds. Dad doesn't eat Lamb so this is a good thing for me. And since the cousins decided to only watch baseball on Easter and eat hot dogs (my cousins are weird) I will have to make my own Spring feast this weekend. It is a Blue moon Saturday so that is something to feast for.
