Nov. 12th, 2017 08:44 pmLast Thursday I met up with a on on line friend from Canada. It was so nice to go out after work for drinks and conversation like an adult ..an adult who is is not buried with chores...
It was a great evening. We went to the Museum of Fine arts and then to a New Orleans themed restaurant that I had only read about. The food was fab. So Fab I wanted to lick the plate... I did not, but I asked for a slice of bread to soak up the sauce on my plate. The conversation intellectually stimulating. We both like due art and we both have a huge interest in food. I really wish they lived closer. I also really ENJOY meeting people for drinks/dinner/conversation. It resets my soul...
When I got home Dad was mopey because he ate alone... sigh... Can't help that and he needs to get used to it. I was home before 8 PM.
Friday the lady we give a ride to work gifted me with some Char Siu pork. It was still warm. Yummy. It is the red glazed pork that tastes like the boneless ribs you get in the Chinese restaurants. It was only after eating a lunch's worth did I straighten out some of the meat to realize I was eating Char Siu pig ears.... snicker... the night before I had yummy pigs cheeks so what the heck. I guess you could char Siu a sneaker and it would taste good. The thing is that the ears were meat. I would have assumed they would be cartilage like people ears. Nope.
Saturday I made a chicken stew in the crock pot and tried to work on craft show stuff. I stuck to ceramics for the day knowing that I can work on jewelry at night. That and I was still put off by the way I was told that a cheaper jewelry vender would be directly across from me...that and her daughter would have a small table set up too and her proceeds would go to benefit the animal shelter. Selling my jewelry will be tough... who can beat cute kids and animals. Sigh. I also had many distractions with instant messages.
Today I was up early. Made a crock pot beef dinner for during the week as I will be busy with beading. I designed 4 necklaces, 2 bracelets, and a pair of earrings. I also worked 5 hours teaching ceramics, and then helped unload a palette of boxed slip (the clay I use for ceramics) at my friend's ceramics shop.
Tomorrow I take Frankie to the Vet's. I am anxious about that. He is still coughing once a day, but then he stops and is healthy and happy. I just hope it isn't a heart thing or some disease. I filmed the cough to show the vet. I hope he is okay.
I am also anxious about my own Doctor's appointment on Wednesday and having the end of the week off fir vacation days. PTO time should not make you anxious, but I just don't trust my back up to get anything done.
