Jul. 31st, 2017 10:14 pmwent to dinner with 2 of the woman from the shelter...one older and one younger.
It was nice until we hit a point in the conversation where the younger started talking about Dating in Boston and how the scene is tough. We agreed and said that sometimes you have to stop looking and someone will find you...wish I believed it, but it seemed. The right thing to say. She is bright and going for her PHD studying the various bacteria that can affect the human body (I gave her some info on my Mom to use as research)... and then she started going on about how she doesn't get along with anyone who does not have at least a BA and how she could never have a conversation with anyone that didn't have a degree because people who don't believe in higher education just have no respect for themselves... blah blah...
... and then she asked why I went to school for. Business? Art? Ummm...none.... I have been an avid viewer of PBS all my life so I am well rounded and can even surprise the well educated....
Maybe I can see why you have trouble finding a date.....
Oh well..wish her all the best...
