I worked in the yard and on my tan. Most of the heavy yard work is finally done. The rest should be watering/weeding and watching my garden grow. I also want to charge the boarder around the patio to something that needs less weeding.
My Day lilies are about to pop. I am very proud of them. I keep saying that I just want to focus on Day lilies, but then I get distracted by some other pretty, that really does not do as well as the lilies. I was distracted today by orange zinnias. I hope they take. I need to move some plants that are now getting shaded by a neighbors tree. I think the moving may be best in the fall.
I did visit my North Shore Aunt last night for her 78th birthday. It is really nice to connect with her and her husband. They do not judge me. It feels good. We are also about the same financial background so they get where I am coming from with things. They did tell me about their reverse mortgage... this may be a way I can keep my house and live her when I am old and alone. I will check it out in a bit. The positive thing is that their house is a multi family and they get to keep the rent from their tenant.
Today I dragged Dad to the North Shore. The living room needs a comfy chair and a secretary desk. The kitchen needs one more item too. Found the perfect things but they need to be saved up for...sigh... I just can't be buying everything for the place that is not where I actually live. The perfect chair was $800 and the perfect kitchen small hutch was $1299. ... Its just that the space looks like a bowling alley with all the empty space waiting for things. Right now the cat likes it because we can toss a tennis ball around for him to chase.
I have to work tomorrow because I do not have seniority.... it is one of the things that irks me about work as I will never have seniority as they keep hiding people, when there is not enough work to pass around, who have more years than me A guy they hired last week bumps me...eve they I am the higher grade, and am considered a superior (hate that word), but since was 15 years opening mail my boss thinks he trumps me for my vacation, even thought my vacation was approved in March. Oi. Wish I could find an opportunity, but without a degree and networking I am no where.
