The house is rental property with an absent land lord. The people living there dont care about the yard area.

Hopefully the shelter will attract more volunteers when it moves. We used to have a ton of college kids about 10 years ago, but they all petered off. If I was the volunteer coordinator I would send out flyers to the local colleges. They may get some volunteer help once the new building opens as it will be part of the City.
